After sfgiants13's post about the Canopy in Scottsdale I was tempted to ask what could be a decisive reason to elect the Scottsdale property over the one in Tempe. Then I noticed the views from the rooftop pool in Scottsdale, they appear to be worth the while. But you brought up exactly the arguments I was thinking about for the Tempe property, looks like a very attractive town for nightlife (it also has a rooftop pool, maybe a bit poorer in views but only at half the price). So now I'm still in dubio.
The Scottsdale property is in Old Town, which has plenty of nightlife, plus galleries, museums, and shopping. It's a little older than Tempe, but not by that much.
I respect CMK10's views, but personally I'd rather be in Scottsdale than Tempe.
