I'm looking for...
* Nice rooms, or wonderful common areas that are usable as a workspace – since I'll be working weekdays 9-5
* Good free platinum breakfasts
* Good hotel gym
* On a beach or a nice pool/outdoor surroundings would be great - although I'm even open to stylish places like the Design Hotel in Playa del Carmen which doesn't even have a pool I don't think (although - no free breakfast either so probably not that particular hotel)
I want to avoid:
* Dilapidated / dingy properties, anything that makes me wonder if this was worth the effort
* Places that have a lot of screaming kids (no offense)
Any recommendations?
I totally agree about screaming kids. Here in the UK even the high end hotels are full of them. It’s all to do with poor parenting as some of the parents encourage them, e.g. running with them and shouting in corridors.
