We did the same, booked the outbound online with my partner's voucher and I did all the legwork thereafter including rebookings, re-routings and eventually cancellation myself. Equally, you could book the return online if you want and then call up to have it vouchered in the morning. I think I will still 'phone as I really want those 2 CW seats on a certain date. I seen available seats disappear at midnight +seconds, to someone with presumably a faster computer processor than my tiring Mac.
