Assuming you hike in southern Marin (mt tam or muir woods area) have to believe the Hotel Del Sol (a joie de Vivre property) in the Marina or even the hyatt in fisherman's wharf would be a pretty quick drive and qualify as "reasonably near"

Although it looks like you live in the city so perhaps looking for something further afield but still reasonably close to marin
