I agree, none of the Starwood properties in Philly are places that jump forward as top accomodations there. On the higher end -- the Ritz and Four Seasons blow away the Westin, while in the middle the Loews, Sofitel and Marriott (despite being massive) are all nicer than the Sheraton Soc. Hill or Rittenhouse. Sheraton Univ City is also quite rundown, despite being in an area that is blossoming.
Have to say I don't have an opinion on the airport properties -- they all seem kinda shabby from driving by (as well as their location), but I havent stayed htere.
