The one greatest thing about EXP is the confidence that you have being first on the upgrade list.. No more worrying how many people will bump you off, no more hoveriung around the GA with that sad puppy expression counting the people boarding when F is called..

Knowing you can spend the extra 15 mins in the AC before heading to the gate just makes a much more pleasant experience all round when on the standby list

BTW I've been on the standby list more than the confirmed upgrade list because of the changes and standbys I take.. but even my upgrades on standbys have come through on more than one occasion...

Ohh.. one other GREAT thing.. being an EXP in Chicago during weather delays.. Simply put yourself on every standby list in sight and you'll jump to #1.. then just see which flight doesnt get cancelled and away you go... 3 times this year thats got me home..

In summary.. enjoy your membership of a (semi-)exclusive club.. Remember EXP is cheaper than crack, but no less addictive..
