This amended the existing rules
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2020/169/contents
In force 0400 15 February
I have highlighted the main differences to the rules in England
- the day 2&8 test exemption is children younger than 11 (England the exemption is children under 5)
- hotel quarantine applies to all arrivals in to Scotland from outside the CTA, or arrivals from Ireland who have been in or transited a acute risk country in the preceding 10 days
- designated entry ports for hotel quarantine are ABZ, EDI, and GLA only (and any military airport/port)
* acute risk countries are Argentina, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, Eswatini, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guyana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Suriname, Tanzania, The United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia, Zimbabwe
So it's confirmed from tomorrow,
• all arrivals in to Scotland from outside the CTA will have to do hotel quarantine
• however, if you are coming from or have been in a non-red list country within the last 10 days and arrive in to England first before connecting to Scotland you do not have to do hotel quarantine on arrival in to Scotland
• obviously if you are coming from or have been in a red list country before arriving in to England you will to hotel quarantine on arrival in England before going to Scotland
