I am not sure this would be a benefit to those who do qualify at the moment for silver/gold. In fact it would dliute the benefit of a quick checkin. BA silver is not that hard to reach at the moment (just 6 rt LHR-CPH) would do it in C at a cost of approx 400GBP each and of course it is much easier to get from the EU scheme.
I for one am happy(ish) the way it is, I dont want longer checkin lines and more people getting pre-boarding rights.
