I got a very nice handwritten thank-you note from Amtrak today, on a nice card that has a picture of the Acela crossing the Hell Gate Bridge, thanking me for a recent Acela first-class trip.

Wow. I'm extremely impressed, and I will certainly take Acela FC again.

I've been an elite-level frequent flyer on US Airways and American for over 20 years and have never gotten anything like this. This is a model of excellent customer service.

I had also gotten a welcome card with my name on it a few years ago on the Crescent. I had never gotten anything like that from an airline before.

Excellent, Amtrak- I will remember this when booking my next trip, which will be on Amtrak instead of an airline.
