No, the upgrade will clear, but you'll still have the coach seat assignment until they do the re-ticketing. That happened to me last week. Under "my reservations", an extra line got added when the upgrade cleared, specifying Business. But I had to call and finish the re-ticketing to get the seat changed. This was a milage upgrade.
