That’s a newly built mall just opposite to the mtr station and I went there for the supermarket and Heycha. But since I went there in Jan2020, not sure how it runs now. I also want to go back when HKers could go back freely when covid gone. For me, Marriott Nanshan is nice indeed, but the price is not lovely lol Sometimes it can raise to ¥15xx which is nearly the same as St. Regis and Ritz Carlton. Quite surprised to hear positive comments towards Sheraton Futian, as I read from Chinese forum that the hotel is too old with bad service (staff not nice), and rarely get upgraded for elites.
Sheraton Nanshan, yes, on Jan 1 and the lounge was closed so they put me in the regular buffet which was great :-). Yes, good, new, hotel at a good price but location won't be suitable for many visitors to Shenzhen (like the JW Bao'an or the Renaissance Shenzhen Bay). I agree about the rate at the Marriott Nanshan but I'd rather pay it for that hotel than the St. Regis as an elite. Regarding the Sheraton Futian, it's usually less than RMB900 a night and the lounge food in the evening is better than the JW and the two Renaissances in Shenzhen and you get breakfast in the main buffet which is more extensive than any of these hotels. I also got a suite upgrade when I was there so YMMV and I didn't get a suite at the JW Bao'an, Renaissance Shenzhen Bay or St. Regis. It's an older hotel than all of those of course with lots of Sheraton marble but then there's the location which for most foreign visitors will beat all those other hotels and if it's sunny you can sunbathe by the outdoors pool which you can only do at the JW Bao'an otherwise. We need a new [MASTER THREAD] to discuss Bonvoy Hotels in Shenzhen :-).
