Hi there,

me and my wife plan to travel to French Polynesia in September this year (we had to postpone our honeymoon from last year to this year - so, I hope we'll be able to finally go this year ) We will spend the first 10 days on a catamaran cruise and would then like to spend another 6 nights at the St. Regis Bora Bora. I currently booked a Reefside Garden Villa on points.

As we definitely would like to stay in an overwater villa, I requested the rates for a cash-upgrade. The differences between the "Overwater Superior Villa" and "Overwater Deluxe Island view Villa" is quite significant (175 USD / night vs. 580 USD / night). As I understand the only difference between Superior Villa and Deluxe Villa is the location, I tend to go for the Superior Villa only and hope for further upgrades at check-in (Titanium status) - and rather spend the additional 2.400 USD for F&B instead

Does this make sense? Or is there any reason to still go for the Deluxe Villa?
