Hey, don't get me wrong, every stay I've had at the Andaz (and that's at least once per year since it opened, save one) I've also had a condo stay on the same trip. I love Elua. But it is in no way a hotel.

There is no lobby, no front desk, no on-site staff to assist with any issues (just to randomly name some of my last stay - linens were not clean, lamps were missing light bulbs, washing machine wouldn't fill...).

There is no bell staff (I don't mind, I carry my own luggage).

There is no F&B (again, I like having my own kitchen, using Costco).

And, isn't Monkeypod closed?

Also, using VRBO one pays the unit owner or property manager... but one knows exactly what the until and view will be, using Hyatt at Elua one never knows if one will get a (acceptable) view.

It's super nice, love staying at Elua, but no way it's a hotel.
