Can anyone help me with the upgrade list for UA253 this saturday? I'm currently #4 on the list. It looks like there has been an equipment swap since yesterday, and now 17 seats show as blocked. It appears highly unlikely they are oversold by 17 seats in economy. Are they just blocking the seats in case the plane swaps back? How would you rate my chances on this one?
I don't know what the answer is, but it's a very odd seat map (configuration and fill). There isn't a 763 w/ that E+ configuration and the middle seats are packed/windows empty. UA is still selling 5 F seats. Unless UA is thinking of swapping to a 772HD, your chances are good. Economy has been no where near selling out since the route re-started.
