It appears that SDMTS has installed the first PRONTO TVM at the convention center station. Those who need to use Compass at that station can use the other platform. For now the machine will remain in test mode as it has not been rolled out. More ticket machines will be rolled out starting next month and should last until this summer. There will be a short transition period where Compass and PRONTO will be accepted until Compass has been decommissioned. PRONTO ticket machines appear to be INIT VENDStation machines similar to the ones used by Metrolink and will support cash and cards.
I wonder what "testing" entails in the video. Will it basically be "out of service" other than when MTS and/or INIT technicians are in front of it?
In any case, it might be cool to see in person even if it can't be used yet.

Yeah, that was reported to be happening a while back but the McDonald's locations here (that I know of) have yet to permanently mount their terminals/readers like that.
