1) Even though Chase markets Freedom as a cash back card it actually earns points, which can be redeemed for cash. This means a $100 bonus could be awarded as 10,000 points.
2) When is your statement date? If you received the letter on 12.30.2020 and your statement was generated early in the month the bonus may appear on the February statement.
3) If you still need to submit the SM, don't choose "Rewards", use another category such as "Account".

1) I understand - I've had my Chase Freedom since something like 2003. I have not received any Refer-a-Friend bonus points.
2) My statement/cycle/billing dates for my two accounts (Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited) were January 22 and January 27.
Just received reply from Chase Facebook page. They said, "the bonus that you will receive is always paid out in one to two billing cycles after your friend was approved".
Appears that I will need to be patient. I will come back and update if/when bonus is paid out.
