Really? AA sure seems reissue-happy to me. Practically everything beyond changing a seat assignment makes them want to reissue tickets.

I can't remember the last time I made a flight change (and I make lots of them) that didn't cause the ticket to be reissued.

I think even a simple even exchange keeping the same O&D and date triggers reissue.
