BA v AA Y are much of a muchness. AA edges over BA on seat pitch, consistency of service and FF program BA edges over AA on the chances of getting friendly service.

For me the primary reason for chossing AA over BA is that for AA the economy product is its core competence. To them eco passengers are strategically critical. For BA their strategy is built around premium cabins. Never give your money to a business where you are not an on strategy client.


Flying long haul coach is not that big a deal. Those who say they wouldn't do it need to live in the real world sometime (unless of course they are seven feet tall or four feet wide).

Also I believe that this board is in denial about BA J. I reckon one day this board will stop calling it fantastic and realise that it is just pedestrian. As my experience is limited this is just a gut feeling I have.
