Staying here later this month. I know this is a faded old lady - once of Dubai's most well-regarded five-star hotels, now a dusty forgotten thing in an ocean of choices and surrounded by construction - but still keen to check it out. The fact that rates are hovering around 50 USD, they've got an operating club lounge [unlike the newer HR Dubai Creek Heights, which isn't selling club rooms], and a revered Japanese restaurant on-property make it all the more intriguing.

Will report back later this month when I get around to checking it out.
