How was it with Indian food? I normally think of Gewurtztraminer when eating Thai, and lean towards Riesling (and sometimes Loire Sauvignon Blanc) with Indian. Though I guess it also depends on the style and heat of the Indian food involved, and I haven't had this .
Thats interesting, I’ve not got to that level of detail between different spicy foods, we’ll rarely have a Riesling or Gewürztraminer, we’ll pick whatever is there, but the Loire Sauvignon would be the default choice as that’s a favourite of my wife.
I’ll admit my general preference with Indian is usually a cold lager.
