On the DNR list through no fault of my own
BUDGET OFFICE 13009 Manchester Rd. Des Peres, MO (St Louis suburb)
I rented a long term mini lease contract with Budget at this office back in May 2020 (this is like my 4th or 5th mini lease w Budget.). got me in and out of the office quickly. Great customer service upon renting and a great rate probably due to covid.
Problems happened with my long term lease when my brother hit the 1st of my rental cars in the driveway (was not in the car at the time). This has since been solved by me filing a claim w my credit card paying Viking for the damage and Visa reimbursing me because my credit card is primary. I delayed this because I thought my brother would file a claim with his insurance company...
The REAL problems happened with the second rental car. The card which my rental was on was left at a restaurant but had a new card w new account number. Wrote budget and called budget and gave them the new card number. Month which rental was due was charged and they emailed me with me the rest of my rental agreement numbers that was set to expire in Feb. Thought it was all set but then all of a sudden due to a mistake on their part. They had my rental for October for one day when it was suppose to be a month. That's when the problems began and unfortunately this office never contacted me and neither did budget until a month or two has elapsed. I never got any certified letters from Budget either. My new credit card was in my fast track profile and neither the office or budget made any kind of effort to phone or email me. Budget sent me all my rental agreement numbers for the rest of my lease. I think they gave me the wrong rental agreement number for the Oct Nov rental month. Budget unnecessarily began a repo process for the car and tried to charge me over $6000. I had a flat tire in January had my roadside assistance service change the tire. Budget instructed me to take the car back and they took the car back and would not give me another one. They put me on the DO NOT RENT list and I was stranded at the rental car place. I should have paid $785 for thr time of the rental. Budget ended up charging me an extra $215 on settlement with the corporate office.... However I remained on the do not rent list..
Sorry. I have to give this office a bad review because I thought they could have intervened and contacted me once the car was a few days late. No excuses. You were awesome when I came to rent but not so awesome in following up.
Therefore the negative review will stand. (If I get removed from the do not rent list I will up the rating.)
