I agree with you on Sheratons in Thailand in particular and Asia in general.

Thankfully, Marriott has begun updating Sheraton properties (Phoenix, Denver, Tel Aviv, Dubai, among others). This makes former SPG Platinums like me very happy that my favorite SPG hotels have not been abandoned and look forward to lounge access at these properties.
