I believe it is very common for LH Group carriers to try to refuse to touch award tickets not issued by M/M. Other carriers may have a less strict approach in IRROPS situations. As usual it may also very well depend on the agent that you talk to.
I agree that the good old paper FIM was very easy for all to deal with; it equaled issuing a new ticket on the carriers own ticket stock. Sadly, a thing of the past as I understand it.
