Read something about security and insurance being big issues that they are stuck on. The challenges of getting it set up for what is likely a pretty low number of people would suggest that they will take a rather selective approach to adding countries. Adding all 27 additional countries where there are variants (which make up the vast majority of flights into LHR I think) seems less likely now than a week ago given recent rhetoric from the administration, the logistical challenges they are having and the fact that the ZA variant is well established here.

indeed the vaccine guy told sky that well “hotel quarantine is just part of the strategy.” My sense is BJ freaked, agreed to this, and now wishes they didn’t bother.
