I stayed in December (lovely stay!) and the rate I paid was available both on the Cosmo website in my newly-opened Identity portal AND on the normal Marriott website. It was a great deal. $320 including tax and resort fees for 2 nights.I did have to contact Cosmo and file a missing stay report but eventually I got all my expected Marriott and Identity points and elite credits, as appropriate.

Now the stay I just booked today is a different story. I got a "no resort fee" offer in Identity, as well as $99 rates, and there was nothing even close on the Marriott site. About $350 out the door for 3 nights. In this case, when I tried to link the reservation to my Marriott account, turns out it is not possible. It's considered a casino deal and I get no points or elite night credits and can't track it through Marriott. Just thought I would share because the rep at first thought I had a comp room but apparently if the deal is too good to be on a hotel booking website, then it's pretty much treated like the kind of 3rd party discounted booking that Marriott does not honor for points and stay credits. It remains to be see if I get anything at all in terms of Platinum perks, like $10 food credit or upgraded room.
