With this new addition of nights added to our accounts, I now have exactly 600 lifetime nights and 13? years at platinum or higher and my account reflects I have lifetime platinum status. I'm not sure what to do as I've been chasing this for a while now and it seems kind of a let down. I was originally an SPG member and like many others have found the new program to be less exciting. Especially in the times of COVID I have found little incentive to stick with Marriott as elite benefits are essentially nonexistent (I suppose suite upgrades exist, but they seem to refuse to give them out unless you ask and I hate asking because it seems greedy).

I am not sure if it is worth trying to pursue status (or lifetime status) with another program or remaining loyal to Marriott. I'm relatively young (33) and all 600 of the nights they give me credit for are leisure nights so I have both time and flexibility if I want to pursue another program. I'm titanium now but since a lifetime version is not offered and I see essentially no difference between platinum and titanium, I cannot imagine it is worth going out of my wait to keep that status.

I suppose the one benefit to all of this is once travel opens back up I can start visiting destinations I have always wanted to see, but did not have a Marriott hotel available.
