So, not sure what this was, but if it's true, it really seemed to a) fly totally under the radar, and b) make absolutely no sense.

once, but I received 3-4 mailers from Chase and finally bit. Also comes with three free nights up to 50k/nt after a modest spend.
Chase may not have paid the blogs on this offer...Off topic, but Amex had a great offer for the Gold Card that came with the same MR bonus all the blogs were promoting, plus 20% rebate on dining for up to $250 back (essentially waiving the AF). Very little "press" about it, because you had to apply through a link on Amex-owned Resy.com.
