I had a 7+ hr delay on a United flight booked using CSR. The delay was during the day, and I'm trying to claim expenses incurred for toiletries and meals.
When I called Card Benefits Services, I was told that the benefit is secondary and that I would need a statement from the common carrier (United in this case) that they declined to provide any compensation.
Did anyone have a similar experience, and have any idea on how to get such a statement?
