It could be. I find the way that the family transactions are reported to be sometimes confusing, but if you log in to all your family members' accounts it might make sense.
Looking at your two specific examples both cases have you being refunded about 90.8% of the total points, suggesting that that is how many went back in to your account (and out originally), with the balance coming from the family group. The points are taken out proportionately, so you would have about 9x as many points as the rest of your family group combined.
