AF will sell you a ticket on AA? I would expect the connecting flight to be on DL.

Or are these separate tickets? There's no MCT for a separate ticket. But 2.5 hours at LAX with Global Entry on a separate ticket would be easily manageable assuming your inbound isn't seriously delayed.
