Thanks c-w-s, but both BA standard call centre and BAEC numbers have repeatedly referred me back to the 'receipts' web form for such confirmation. I guess time is a bit less of the essence for insurance claims.
If I could talk to the team handling that directly and explain the urgency perhaps it would help, but nobody has been willing to transfer the call or provide a number.
The team who handle the receipts are a back office team so dont take customer calls.
