Teacher offer ticket - what can I do
This is maybe me being pessimistic (or realistic?), but given Scotland seems to wish to go full-blown New Zealand for this year, it looks like summer travel might be truly off the cards.
Unfortunately I have a trip booked using the 'free ticket' teacher offer. The ticket originally had to be booked for travel by Sept, and obviously as a teacher this means the summer break. After this summer, if our borders are closed and I can't use this ticket then, I can't really use it again until mid-Oct at the earliest, if borders are even open then, which is obviously past the Sept deadline anyway.
Between the two of us it was still several hundred pounds that I would rather not gift to Qatar, so assuming it goes the way it is looking - ie the trip is not possible - what can I do?
Sadly I booked the trip from Manchester so even if flights to/from SCO are cancelled, Manchester might still go ahead so I can't count on a refund from a cancellation.
The ideal ideal ideal scenario would be to move the flight, cost-free, to next Easter, so hopefully it can go ahead at the amazing price I got, but I am not sure the teacher offer-specific conditions would let me do this given the Sept deadline.
Any thoughts?
