As the news has come that it looks like a hotel quarantine based on where variants have been identified, I was wondering how that fits with this comment, which has stuck with me since reading it by C-W-S:

If the UK and South African and Brazil are doing the most genomic sequencing, aren't we punishing those that are actually doing the work to identify mutations, while letting countries that aren't doing anything off? Seems potentially somewhat backwards.
