Hope to not be "off topic". My question is about soft landing.
I am Flying Blue GOLD, extended now till 31st March 2022, and my qualification period -as usual- goes from 1st January 2021 till 31st December 2021.
Due to the current circumstances it will be very unlikely I will be travelling enough in 2021 for personal or professional reasons as I did until 2019.
I expect to collect 60 or 80 XP in 2021. This means I will not have enough XP to keep Gold after 31st March 2022.
Based on the current rules I expect to be downgraded to Silver from 1st April 2022 until March 2023.
To go back to Gold from Silver I will need 180 XP.
Does-it means ALL the XP collected between 1st January 2022 until 31st December 2022 go towards this qualification?
Or only the XP points between 1st April 2022 until 31st March 2023 will be taken in consideration?
I'm particularly interested to know how will be considered the XP points collected during the so called period of grace (1st January 2022-31st March 2022) before being downgraded to Silver. Because that period isnt anymore (1st January 2022-31st March 2022) the qualification period of my current status and the new status will not arrive until 1st April 2022. Am-I wrong?
On the other hand, is it confirmed that an Explorer who makes 180 XP points in 12 months doesnt become Gold but just Silver with a surplus of 80 XP ?
Hope I have been clear enough. Thanks.
