Some will be families thus multiple travelers = one room. So I imagine they may need 2-3K rooms/day.

I think one of the big questions - besides (i) do they do this and (ii) does it apply to everyone coming from everywhere - is whether there is a 5 day test and release option. That would greatly decrease the demand on hotel rooms (though still outstrip LHR capacity) + make it marginally more palatable for people.
