And exactly as KLOUIS states you have to compare the journey to ATH and the check in times then journey from SKG into city ! That fake 30 mins suddenly becomes well over 2 hours +
I did GVA - Paris for 6 months, where you have the option of the TGV (3:15h ride time) and Air France (45 mins pure flight time). I can tell you, I took the train whenever possible !
Door - to - door, the travel time was exactly the same (assuming no delays, which actually happened frequently with AF).
Convenience of TGV way greater than flight, and price (1st class TGV to AF economy) more or less the same.
But in case of IRROPS: WAAAAAAAAY better with TGV !
