Yes, I take your point, one is going to be on the hook for a number of expensive evening meals at the IC, irrespective of the breakfast and included snacks. Continuing on with some research I have found a number of other resorts that offer a potentially better deal, even some all-inclusives which offer quite a good deal and seem to be quite well thought of in various reviews (although I am no fan of all-inclusives).
