I wish I could be positive about this: Wow, a new IHG property in Switzerland! But all this money is the ultimate curse of Switzerland.
Hmm, I'm also torn on this one. On one hand it is important to preserve the natural splendor, on the other hand I'll be excited about a mountain resort type IHG option (ideally on points) aside from Davos and the long gone IC Berchtesgaden (now Kempinski).
On the website of the architecture firm I saw two other (non-IHG) mountain resorts though not sure if those are just proposals or if they were awarded the work. One is an Alila La Gruyere (Hyatt) and the other Ritz-Carlton Zermatt (Marriott).
Back to IHG, I also read about the new Paris Kimpton - St. Honore for Spring 2021 allegedly, but not sure this was mentioned already.
