Yes they are exit signs. AA has them on their 787 fleet. DL has them on their A350/A321/A330Neo/A220 fleets and its retrofitting their existing fleet with the green-running man signs as they go through refurbishment. I think they are essentially standard on all new-build aircraft. Not sure why AA doesn't have them on the A321Neo. The only operator without them on the 787 is United IIRC.

Interesting that you weren't aware they were exit signs. The FAA released a FAR that states that when operating an aircraft with the green/white signs, passengers must be informed of their presence before departure. On AA 787 flights during the pre-landing automated video PA I noticed that they display a running man exit symbol next to a standard red/white exit sign with an "=" sign in between them, in addition to a further announcement stating exit signs are green.
