Hopefully the Treasury will be able to prevent more restrictions on aviation, with the threat of tax rises (also reported) later this year to pay for all of this mess.
While all is speculation - it would seem that the government thinks banning non-resident/citizen arrivals is a stricter measure than hotel quarantine. I’d personally think the opposite but curious what others think here. The true nuclear option is of course the combination of both.
