While getting "A" seats on LAN can be a challenge, I've never had a problem with them at the airport except for a more thorough than other OW carriers of the tarriff documentation. Did a South American swing entirely on LAN this past July (LAX-SCL-GIG-SCL-JFK) and it worked great.
