Just a datapoint with the Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Reimbursed full amount of $225 for an overnight in New York this January. Was going IAD - JFK - CLT, the flight to JFK was delayed five hours, leading to an overnight in JFK. After submitting all documents, took about one week for them to pay out. Really smooth process. Happy to have the benefit
