If a mistake was made by an agent and it was never ticketed ( which would be expected if a mistake was made ) , then no reason to expect the mistake to be honoured
Whether allowing a change of origin to Singapore was correct that change was made, seems to be the important part; if it was valid at the time, just never ticketed, then it should be honoured
