It might also depend on the reason for the delay at immigration... whether it was a general delay that affected everyone, or was something specific to the OP.
There was some kind of medical emergency as paramedics were coming there. But even though they had 5+ officers only one asked slowly to come to her. Then the fingerprint machine did not work for my parents and eventually she had to try in a new system.
Other than us there were 2-3 more passengers who were delayed at immigration
Air Canada just keeps saying it is lifemiles booking and they cannot even touch it
