I had the chicken and it came with salad/roll/ice cream. All served in one setting.

Have hot meals ever went away for routes between SFO/LAX and EWR? I had a bit of a flying break last spring shortly after the start of the pandemic, but hot meals have always been offered for these transcon routes in 2020 and so far in 2021 during my flights.
