Last minute cancellation of bookings is very common, with even lower J fares being cancelled less than a week before travel date on many routes. Pretty iffy for any AAdvantage award to actually fly in 2021, imho. My own experience is 100% cancellation rate for anything other than full undiscounted J, on QR, CX, EK and SQ. Aaward pays about 20% of the current cash fare, so easy choice for the airlines when the demand is there. cur
