As a child and adult, I loved a hot steak & green peppers sub at sf’s The Yellow Submarine. I also heard enough anecdotes that they owned their Inner Sunset location as well as other real estate in that area. Good life lessons.
I never had it enough, depending on how one defines “enough” and it’s really time to try and make it at home. I saw them frying the steak & peppers more than enough times on their kitchen grill. I saw them toast the French roll with provolone. Today I finally watched a yt video for how to slice steak thin for making such sandwiches.
(Secret is to freeze the steak for 20 seconds!)

I’m excited to try it...
