Last two winters, UA listed the flights as 757's in Dec/Jan, and later changed them back to 777 international. Not sure if they ever flew the 757's or not, but it was on their schedule for many months, and I routed myself though SFO when I purchased tickets.

My guess is it will not be a 757 as long as they indicate right now. Depends on a lot of factors I don't have access to, but based on history that's my guess.

It would be a shame to loose 946/947 or 915 service from LAX to IAD. I could see it happen if they close IAD, but I certainly hope they don't.
