- first ever BP on phone app: Dec. 8, 2020
- made 15 CFP payments to various CC's, up to and including Dec. 22, 2020 (payments spread out pretty much evenly across the 2 weeks)
- total payments < $7700
- no payments ever made in store
- banned since Dec. 23: mostly getting transaction declined at very end, even with different CC's I try paying
I'm trying every day at least once to make a payment. I can report back out when/if I get unbanned.
I know the following:
- not banned for $8k in payments across rolling 30 days
- not banned by the 5 payment per CC limit per rolling 30 days
- been banned for more than 3 weeks
My last successful payment was at the beginning of the month in-app, I've done lots of in-store in the past but not anymore because of Meta swipe problems. I suspect the $8000 limit does not apply in-app, but we are subject to some other online limit that is unknown. I've gotten the declined transaction before which clears itself up if you wait long enough, this time I timed a Simon purchase wrong (30 days to pay instead of 60) so the volume suddenly got much heavier than usual. I suspect no real "bans" are given out, and these are simply system-enforced velocity limits.
