This is not policy and shouldn’t be happening - you should be getting back the original payment in all its constituent parts, and BA is not permitted to refund more to a credit card than was originally purchased on it. There was a misinterpretation in the early days of covid but I thought it had been rectified following involvement from accounting and fraud departments.
